Seokjin took the phone and looked in amazement at a 28-second fancam set to a sultry, moany song that featured slow-mo footage of Namjoon escorting him in and out of cars and buildings, of Namjoon holding umbrellas for him, of Namjoon shoving people out of the way at an airport (Seokjin remembered that chaotic day). With piercing and sharp dragon eyes, Namjoon sent glares at crowds and photographers like he was two steps from murder at any given moment, but then Namjoon would turn to escort Seokjin with the gentlest of touches. The video caption said, eloquently, ‘hottest bodyguard in all of Korea’.

Summary
Seokjin had pictured it before, how his return would play out. All his friends reacting in their own, unique ways to show him that they missed him during the two years he was gone. He'd pictured all of them, except Namjoon. With Namjoon he had no idea what to expect.
Seokjin had come up with at least a dozen different scenarios, ranging from a crushing hug to Namjoon simply not showing up. At this point Seokjin was sure he was prepared for whatever would ultimately occur.
He has been wrong before.
None of these fantasies could’ve ever prepared him for what would ultimately become reality.

"I had no idea you were still into him," Seokjin says when he finally finds his voice again.
"Well I'm single and he's hot. It's not like I've had anyone else to crush on in all those years, so..." Ouch. "I'm not not into him, I guess? Back then I never had the courage to confess but now that we're adults I think maybe it's time to make a move, I guess? If he says no, well..." He drawls like the idea of Namjoon rejecting him doesn't hurt, but Seokjin knows him. He can hear the hint of insecurity in his voice. Yoongi clears his throat. "Which is why I thought... You could offer to help him organise the party, hyung. That way you can tell him how sexy and popular and cool I have gotten. And also discover if he's into men. Better maximise my chances, yeah?"

Seokjin looks awfully cuddly.
He's sitting opposite to Namjoon, wearing that awfully soft looking blue velvet matching tracksuit, rubbing sleep out of his eyes with too-small-to-be-honest closed fists. He looks soft, and small, and like touching him wouldn't make Namjoon's skin itch.
The discussion around him goes on but Namjoon entertains in that idea, wrapping himself around Seokjin, making himself small in his arms but large enough to swallow him whole, legs wrapped tight around his legs, arms wrapped tighter around his chest. To test out if there's a secret part of Seokjin that doesn't make his fingers tingle, what he could bear and what he couldn't, if there is something he couldn't bear with him.
It's a sweet kind of secret, the difference between Seokjin and all the others; between those who can't touch and the one he can't let himself be touched by, for fear of never wanting it to stop.

His heart hasn’t calmed down by the time Namjoon starts walking over to him, and Seokjin doesn’t have time to throw Yoongi in front of him as a human shield when Namjoon approaches him, and wraps Seokjin up in a giant bear hug.

Was Namjoon always this tall? Not that Seokjin ever replays the moment in his head, but the last time he hugged Namjoon - a final goodbye at the airport before Namjoon left for college - he swears that he had the advantage and was able to look down at Namjoon. Now, Namjoon’s cheek rests just against Seokjin’s, breath hitting Seokjin’s bright, red ears.
“It’s been awhile,” Namjoon says quietly, and all Seokjin can do is nod, lost for words.
Four years have passed since the last time Seokjin saw Namjoon, and while he's grown out of a lot of things, they way Namjoon makes Seokjin's heart race hasn't changed.

As Namjoon stood slightly removed from the scene, bemusedly watching the six-year-olds swarm around his cooler (which he had borrowed from his mom), he didn’t even notice that someone had sidled up next to him until he heard the tiny, but undoubtedly exasperated, huff.
He followed the sound, turning his head to the right. A guy was standing there, arms crossed, lips pursed. He let out another huff, louder this time, but only slightly.
Namjoon refused to acknowledge him. What the fuck was this guy’s deal? Was he really that bitter that his six-year-old just lost a soccer game for six-year-olds?
One more huff from the guy.
He was beginning to think this guy’s lips were just perpetually pursed and would simply never, ever unpurse themselves, when he, the guy, finally unpursed his lips to speak.
“I just think it’s pretty irresponsible to bring Gatorade to a soccer game for first graders,” he said, huffily, “No offense.”

Superheroes always have a plan, and it's not Seokjin's fault his keep failing. Really, he's pretty sure it's all Namjoon's fault; there was never room for another superhero in the city (and definitely never room for another superhero in Seokjin's heart).
