Kenadian had, while prowling the willow forests near the Farlands, found himself staring at two silhouettes: he had immediately recognized the first as Parrot from the wings perched on his head and the sheer vibrancy of the colours he was clothed in. The other was hidden behind the branches of the willow tree: its leaves just perfectly blocking his sight. (It could be. Just maybe: the Wifies he had hunted down for millennia. He just needed a closer look.)
Before he realised it, he found himself moving closer to catch a glance, pushing aside the branches.
Kenadian knew who it was the moment his eyes pinned on the figure, tasted the memories on his tongue of mortal blood that pulsed eternity: blood that wasn’t his.
The apparition he had chased relentlessly down for millennia. It was Wifies.
