Ilya goes into All-Star weekend planning to spend some time with the his new best friend Kip. Shane does not go into All-Star weekend planning to come out to Scott Hunter, it just kind of happens. Scott is resigning himself to the fact that his boyfriend takes in strays, which means that Ilya Rozanov is now a more or less permanent fixture in his life.

Kip laughed. “You have a game today and you can deny being obsessive about your routine all you want, but that doesn’t make it less true. So I got you your smoothie. You know, for science.”
It takes all of the brainpower Scott can muster to not say something stupid like while you were out you also should have made a copy of my key so you can come back whenever you want, but also you should never leave.
_____What if Scott didn’t have the ingredients for a Blue Moon Over Brooklyn in his fridge? Kip leaves and has every intention of coming back with a smoothie. All Scott knows is that he left.

“I need you to cut your break short, there’s a sad hockey player at the bar and that’s your specialty.”
Kip’s not entirely sure what it says about his life that “sad hockey player” has become his specialty. He nods and walks out.
_____Moody and looking for a drink after a tough loss, Ilya wanders around New York and ends up at the Kingfisher. He thinks he’s doing an incredible job of being so normal and unintimidating and making friends with the bartender. Kip kind of feels like the prey animal in one of those unlikely animal friendship videos.

Secrets had to be selfishly hidden and mercilessly protected. They required a magician’s uncanny talent to smile and laugh, pulling the audience’s attention to the left hand while simultaneously warping reality with the right.
No matter how he looked at it, Shane knew the truth. A secret was a lie, and Shane Hollander could not lie.
Shane’s mind, riddled with anxiety and a compulsive need for facts, plans, plays, just couldn’t hold all the frayed and sharp edges of a secret (a lie) and not fatally cut himself.
aka. Shane’s other secret was this. He had a hero and that hero was Scott Hunter.

He comes to a halt a few paces in front of the Clave representative and the guardsmen she’d brought from Alicante. A coiled leather whip hangs from the belt of the man at her left shoulder.
Shoulders drawn back and hands clasped behind his waist, Alec meets Imogen Herondale’s steel gaze. The words are ritual and although Alec has said them many times before, never before has he meant them less.
“That it may please the Angel to bring back into the way of righteousness all such as have erred, I place myself before you for Discipline.”

Rose finally met his eyes. They were exactly as she remembered, and somehow different: the same blue, the same worry in his gaze, but something was missing. He was carrying himself differently. Standing straighter, less lines around his eyes. He looked hopeful. Stressed, but ultimately content.
“Doctor,” Rose breathed.
Her Doctor- her first Doctor- quirked an eyebrow at her. “We’ve met, then?”
A rewrite of "The Day of the Doctor" in which Rose and 11 have a telepathic bond, the Ninth Doctor fought in the Time War, and the Moment doesn't take a human shape of any kind. It all ends up looking quite similar: three Doctors, three TARDISes, one Bad Wolf, and one big, red button.
