Summary
When Regulus Black leaves home for the first time, it's to go to Cambridge University.
After Sirius disappeared without warning, Regulus' parents were quick to pull Regulus out of Hogwarts secondary school and begin the process of ensuring their new heir wouldn’t follow the path of his wayward brother. Starting university is his first real taste of the world outside the House of Black, and it is...disconcerting.
James Potter could not be happier with his lot in life. James is a grateful person, and he has good reason to be—a loving family, the best mates in the world, and a life at uni packed enough to keep his busy mind occupied—but when things go awry the summer before his second year, James returns to Cambridge desperate to hold it all together.
When Regulus and Sirius unexpectedly reunite, the big world Regulus has been introduced to starts to feel suffocatingly small again, and James is determined to fix Sirius' sorrow by mending the bond between the brothers. All they need is a little help...and if James has to get in the middle to make that happen, surely it's not the toughest task he's tackled.

Sometimes Regulus needs a bit of light in his life, and James needs a bit of quiet.

Summary
Less than a week into the new school year, a loud knock disrupts the quiet of the fourth-year Slytherin boys' dormitory. The last person Regulus expects to find on the other side of the door is his (somewhat) estranged older brother, Sirius, his handsome face bloodied and bruised.
Even more shocking than Sirius's sudden appearance, is his request - if they'd be so kind, could he bunk with them in Slytherin 'for a bit'?
His brother's refusal to explain his abscondence from Gryffindor is irksome, but Regulus lets him in regardless, confident he'll unravel the mystery in due time. After all, Sirius has never been very good at keeping secrets from his younger sibling, and Regulus can be *very* persuasive when he wants to know something.
Unbeknownst to the Black brothers, however, their choices in that moment set off a chaotic chain of events that will have lasting repercussions for The Noble and Most Ancient House of Black, and change the trajectory of their lives for good.

“Wh– well– why–” James stammered, attempting to get his bearings, because if he didn’t, and he let Regulus tell him ‘kiss me’ one more time, his heart would probably give out. “Why don’t you get Sirius to help?”
Regulus narrowed his eyes. “Because Sirius would just knock his teeth out,” he said as though it were obvious.
“Yes,” James hissed, “and he’ll knock my teeth out if I kiss his little brother.”
“You can take a hit, Potter, I’ve seen you on the quidditch pitch,” Regulus waved him off, and James groaned, leaning away from him.
“Oh, yeah, great, so I’m the sacrifice,” he sighed.
“Precisely,” Regulus stepped right into his space, and James felt his chest go a little hot.

Or, Regulus asks James for a favor to get his ex off of his back, and James makes bad choices.

Neil grits his teeth. “I’m,” he exhales shakily. “I’m – seeing things,” he admits.

In which Andrew gets into a car accident one week into the off-season, and everything is fine right up until he starts dying every night in Neil’s dreams. Things get worse, and then they get better.
