Curley scoffed as Slim placed a calloused hand on his shoulder, almost having to bite back flinching or immediately shooing Slim away. ''I have not been crying,'' Curley blinked a tear from his red and puffy eyes, which he had gotten from his (not so hidden) breakdown from earlier. Yet the lie fell from his cracked lips anyway. ''My eyes are just... red from the sun, I can't stop rubbing my eyes, for God's sake.'
Stuffy certainly wasn't lying, thought Slim. It was the hottest day of the year after all, and tensions were always high in the heat of the blazing sun. With a smile, he squeezed Curley's shoulder a bit too tightly. ''Sure, Curley.''
Or
Curley isn't ready to talk about his issues. Slim is there to comfort him regardless.

Curly wonders.
He hears movement in the room. And then Jimmy is there, in his peripheral. There’s some more shuffling before Jimmy finally approaches. He leans over him, looms. He places a hand carelessly on Curly’s shoulder, and it’s agony. There’s a pop from below, which Curly assumes is the release of the lid from the painkiller bottle. Not that he can see it. Couldn’t move his head enough to know what Jimmy's doing, no matter how curious he is.

There's a treehouse, in the woods, built by five kids with a bond that no one else could quite understand.
Four trapped in situations they felt they couldn't escape from and one who had no idea how to help.
The world fucking sucked, but they had their little treehouse and each other and that makes it all okay.
But Niki Nihachu, Ranboo, Captain Puffy, Tubbo Underscore and Tommy Innit are about to have a rude awakening as their treehouse isn't enough to keep them safe from harsh reality for too long.

There are so many reasons he doesn’t. For one thing they’re in front of everyone, and despite the show of support his team had put on in the locker room, Conor’s still fairly certain there are some things that just wouldn’t fly. His dad’s somewhere in the stands, sitting with his mother, no doubt swelling with pride. And Walter can see, and Conor would quite like to be allowed to keep his current roommate arrangement. But mostly, Conor doesn’t kiss Ned because he’s not sure if Ned even wants that.
Conor and Ned navigate life at school after the Senior Cup win, needless to say, some things are weird.
