Summary
A year after the disbandment of the Inquisition, the Arlathvhen comes to the woods of Montsimmard.
In exchange for removing the tattoos that are killing him, Fenris reluctantly agrees to protect Solas’s agents at the Dalish celebration — with Hawke by his side to help double-cross them in the end, of course.
Merrill travels to the Arlathvhen to share the newfound truth of the Evanuris with her people, only to find them unwilling to listen to the pariah who caused the death of her Keeper.

There were still a few fires burning here and there. Still handfuls of civilians being guided to healers and places to stay other than the ruins of their homes, murmuring to each other as they moved. Still Venatori and demons lurking in the darker corners, waiting to be flushed out.
But as Tarquin stared out a window, watching rain splatter against the balcony of one of the still-standing Shadow Dragon safehouses, he couldn’t hear any of it.
Just the rain, his own soft breathing, and the voice of a Warden behind him.
“Breathe in.” She murmured. Tarquin’s own chest lifted, but he didn’t turn to see if her patient had listened like he was supposed to. “Hold it, just like that.”
