Two best friends. Two different paths. One girl who stumbles into their lives.
When Riko dies, Suguru vows to never let it happen again, deciding to reform Jujutsu society from within. When Haibara dies, Suguru vows to make sure no student will ever be in danger as he was. Suguru thought he and Satoru would fix everything. Together.
But Satoru abandons Jujutsu society. Strikes out on his own. Takes in Megumi and Tsumiki Fushiguro. Puts an infinity between himself and everyone.Suguru thought he had lost his best friend forever -- that is, until a girl who nullifies cursed techniques winds up on his campus, and suddenly Satoru's walls don't seem as impenetrable as they once did. And so, he directs the (desperately) in need of a job you to Satoru.
Of course, chaos ensues.
But -- somewhere between the accidental fires and the missed signals -- the infinity between you and Satoru might not seem so vast after all. And maybe, just maybe, you're what he needs to fix what he broke with Suguru.

She opened her eyes again, searched over his blindfold for something to latch on to. He watched as her fingers clutched onto the fabric of her clothes, wrinkling them.
It was now that Satoru realised two things.
1. He knew those hands.
2. She was the woman that had made that face a few days ago.Ah, shit.
Satoru was not one to care for the elusive. He grounded himself in the material - the honest (and the man in front of him). But, when he could recognise her hands at just a glance, Soulmates cemented themselves as something damningly corporeal.

Several truths arranged in your head all at once.
You were in the fictional world of Love and Deepspace.
You had been living in this world for a year, with no recollection of your other life until now.
You were nothing more than a background character.
You were disposable. You could die for plot reasons at any minute. Nothing more than a line of text people skipped over. A nameless character.
More importantly, as all these truths solidified in your mind, you added another one.
I don’t want to die for the plot.
