Summary
At the start of the 18th century, where the Age of Enlightenment has begun to blossom, another era begins to grow: the Golden Age of Piracy. One such aristocrat, or, as history will remember him, esteemed 'Gentleman Pirate' Stede Bonnet takes a quick interest in this lifestyle and seeks an escape from his family, leaving behind his good catholic lifestyle behind and pursuing a life of pillaging and violence. Heaven, having been rather a fan of the man's cookie cutter God-fearing manner of living, assigns one Aziraphale Fell to keep him on the path of good as his guardian angel.
Meanwhile, tensions are brewing in the French navy as Captain Blackbeard roams the ocean waters, threatening even the greatest of armies with his nautical reign of terror. After his ship is found with only a few of his crew remaining, Hell takes a great interest in locating their favorite pirate, sending Hell's very own Anthony J. Crowley to find him and set him back on the path of destruction. Though, after a run in with a French navy ship that he only miraculously escapes, he finds himself associated with Blackbeard via unfortunate implication.
