Summary
With the power of mindscape magic, Hunter reunites with an old friend, has a heart to heart with the man whose likeness he was made in, and learns how to carve a new palisman.
Flapjack flutters from the head of the wolf to perch on Hunter's shoulder, nuzzling against his cheek one last time, twittering a gentle Hunter is loved by Flapjack always, before flying back over to land on Caleb's shoulder.
"I'm very happy to have met you, Hunter," Caleb tells him, genuine pride shining in his eyes. "Live a long and happy life for all of us, would you?"
"I'll do my best," Hunter promises, understanding all of us to mean not just Caleb and Flapjack, but all the grimwalkers who'd been unlucky enough to meet the same fate.
"That's all anyone could ever ask," Caleb says, giving Hunter one last bright smile before turning to walk the long, winding, sunlit path through the forest, Flapjack chittering cheerfully on his shoulder as the two of them disappear beyond the golden horizon.

Summary
Willow was usually pretty confident nowadays. She was eternally grateful to Luz for pushing her out of her shell to join the plant coven.
What Willow was not confident about, was her ability to deal with Hunter.
This wasn’t in a ‘I can’t stand him’ way, but more in like a ‘oh-my-titan I’m going to puke if he flips his hair like that again’.
Willow wasn’t a stranger to the feelings of a crush; the hot cheeks and sweaty palms, the sort of stomach flipping firebees in her tummy.
What she wasn’t familiar with was the way the nervous, shaking hands and red face had settled into a comfortable warmth. She wasn’t familiar with the way his penstagram messages, filled with typos and accidentally-pressed punctuation marks, caused her to grin giddily at her screen, burying her face and kicking her legs in a ways she’d only seen in dumb teen movies.She definitely wasn’t familiar with the way Hunter looked at her, face as red as an Amaryllis.

Summary
Belos is dead. The Collector is defeated. The portal door is working again and everyone now just has to move on with their lives and rebuild normality as best they can. This is easier for some than for others.
When Willow invites Hunter to Grom, he assumes it is so that he, as a non-student of Hexside, can still be there to help Skara in her duties as Grom Queen. Emerald Entrails stick together, after all. Clearly there could be no other reason for Willow to invite him. This is all set to be a simple, friendly combined dance and fight with a demonic entity that reads minds and conjures your worst fears into reality. No biggie.
Except with Boscha and her crew of bullies around and feeling braver than ever, this Grom might not be as simple as they all hoped. Especially when Hunter discovers that being the reincarnated container of hundreds of years of Golden Guards' fears is a bad thing to be around a fear demon.
