'It had never taken anyone this long to write a phone number. Both because Robin was really trying to make sure her handwriting was legible, and because she was having trouble remembering what her phone number even was at 7:47 in the morning while she held Nancy Wheeler’s hand. Not for any weird reason, they had just never touched hands when their lives weren’t in danger. It was different, that was all.
“I think that’s right.” She mumbled as she dropped Nancy’s hand and offered the pen back.
“You think?” Nancy smiled at her, teasing, pulling a smile through the cloud of fatigue that had been keeping Robin’s face in an unconscious grimace all morning.
“It’s so early…” She said by way of explanation. Nancy chuckled.'

“I know!” Nancy groaned, “It was stupid, I was just so mad -”
“Didn’t she have followup questions?!” Robin laughed, “Did the lie just fall apart immediately, is that why you didn’t tell me? You were embarrassed?”
“I told her it was you.”
Robin’s stomach dropped.
“What?” She asked.
“She invited you to our house for Christmas.”

Summary
Sir Nancy had long since accepted her fate. For the rest of her life, she was set to serve by Prince Steve’s side, sworn as his loyal knight. Her desires must be set aside; her duty and honor always taking first place.

Summary
Robin Buckley’s supposed to be a silent wall. An unwavering barrier defending her client from the poisonous fangs and claws of the outside world. A dependable shield who, when doing her job well, is practically invisible despite being in plain sight.
Usually, she has no issue with any of this. Excels at it all, really. But unfortunately, her current protectee seems fiercely determined to put herself in harm's way, and Robin isn’t sure she’s going to be able to make it through this high-profile gig without racking up a few criminal charges.
Nancy Wheeler’s supposed to be the perfect daughter. A mild-mannered socialite smiling and waving on cue. A temporary journalist using her college education to write puff pieces until she settles down.
Much to her parents’ chagrin, Nancy has never been anything like the demure doll they expected her to be, and she has no plans of ever doing so. Not when there’s so much vile corruption and wickedness oozing out of practically every office and facility in the country. Not when she seems to be the only one willing to do anything about it.
