Like a hypothetical record scratch, everyone goes silent. Wonwoo’s voice trails off and he blinks and looks over at chat, which is full of WHAT? and ?????
“Repeat that one more time, but slower,” Chan suggests.
“An interview came out with Kim Mingyu, the ace hitter of the Olympic men’s volleyball team,” Seungkwan says slowly. “And he’s a fan of Wonwoo hyung. Like, a huge fan.”

Summary
Mingyu’s just relieved there’s another sober person at this godforsaken party. Even if that other person might potentially be a serial killer (?) in his free time.
(Mingyu pinpoints the name after five seconds—Jeon Wonwoo—and double-takes. Wonwoo’s in Mingyu’s calc class, and he always sits in the back and never speaks. Which is all fine and dandy, but he’s hot, so people talk. Accounts of attempting to ask the boy out have been catalogued as an acceptable horror story to tell around the campfire.
But Mingyu does not give a shit about that right now. He’s desperate. So he grabs the water bottle and says, “Please help me.”

“It wasn’t a joke? You actually want to resign?”
A small nod. “Yes, I’ve started drafting the job posting to find a suitable replacement. Rest assured…”
Mingyu drowns the deep voice of his secretary out as he retrieves the letter of resignation. He pauses to look at it, actually look at it, and proceeds to let out a bark of laughter.
Secretary Jeon pauses his dialogue to stare at his boss, who was bending over with high-pitched laughter. Before he could inquire what the joke was, however, Mingyu walks towards him with the envelope in hand, and roughly rips the the piece of stationery in two.
“No.” He looks at a wide-eyed Wonwoo with a smug expression. “My answer is no. Now leave.”

Summary
The circus was a dream, a place where reality met imagination and together they exploded into a spectacular show. Mingyu was about to leave his entire life behind to join that show.
Wonwoo had been in the circus for a long time, though no one could tell Mingyu exactly how long.

There is nothing at all fulfilling about walking down ten flights of stairs with someone who is simultaneously your sunbae, roommate, and friend because the crappy lift in their student residence has broken down again, and realise, oh, you like him. He has a boyfriend, but you like him. But when Seungcheol does see reason and breaks up with his boyfriend by the end of the semester, Wonwoo is determined to find ways to seduce his friend.

"Hey, your hair's a little messy, Wonwoo. How about you comb it?" Mingyu asked politely as Wonwoo and Jeonghan stared at him in surprise, eyes wide. Wonwoo's eyes shifted across the people who stared at them, watching as the thief and the jock interacted.
"I'm sorry but you shouldn't--" Wonwoo tried to neutralize the situation, make it seem like Mingyu only mistook Wonwoo for someone else, but Mingyu cut his words short as he smiled and walked behind him. He carded his fingers through Wonwoo's hair, eliciting gasps from the crowd around them. Very naturally, Mingyu set Wonwoo's hair and smiled at him, "There, it's okay now, isn't it?"
Wonwoo gasped.
Everyone in the cafeteria had just witnessed University Sweetheart Mingyu set Jeon Wonwoo's hair.
"Do you realize what you've done?" Wonwoo almost whispered, voice shaky as moist eyes looked up at Mingyu.
Mingyu smiled, "I do," and a tear escaped Wonwoo's eye.

Why does he not know what he himself is looking for? And why does his sister keep texting him “...”?
For as long as he can remember, Wonwoo has been madly and hopelessly in love with his all-but-flawless best friend. When Mingyu finally starts to date around, he has little choice but to sweep his personal feelings under the rug and hope they go away. Simple. Well, except that he has already been doing that for 12 years, of course.
