Happy shot him a sideways glance. “Kid, your identity just got outed to the entire world. You think we’re gonna let you handle this alone?”
Peter rolled his eyes, his fingers fumbling with his locker combination. “How was I supposed to know that the kid had a body camera? I just wanted ice cream! Ice cream!”
Harley snorted behind him. “Yeah, and you thought some random kid asking for a ‘special favor’ was a great idea? What, you thought that wasn’t gonna get you in trouble?”
Peter shot him a glare. “I didn’t know! He was cute and he was offering me ice cream! Like, free ice cream. It’s ice cream, Harley, that’s not something you just pass up!”
“Well, darlin’,” Harley continued with a grin, “should’ve thought it through. Free ice cream and show me your face usually doesn’t go hand in hand with good life choices.”
Peter sighed, rubbing his forehead. “I didn’t even get the ice cream, alright? So it’s a whole thing now, and I can’t even get the one thing I wanted out of it.”
