Summary
In a world where everyone is born with abilities (supernatural powers), Tommy is born powerless. He and his parents were shunned for it, and they took their anger out on him, eventually abandoning him in the slums, the part of their city most people, and most heroes, pretend doesn't exist.
Tommy isn't one to give up that easily, though. He'll survive, no matter what it takes. He doesn't need heroes or anything of the sort.
And he was surviving just fine until Phil, Wilbur, and Techno come along, disturbing his peaceful days of lazing around and stealing from street stalls.
(also everyone is aged down two years. There is no reason I just screwed up the timeline :)

Freedom was difficult to obtain in a world like theirs. Despite that, they found each other and held as tight as they could. Being a pirate wasn’t so bad when you had other people just like you at your side.
