Summary
Phainon gets blown to smithereens while trying to protect some civilians. Unable to accept Phainon’s death, Anaxa reassembles the body and brings him back to life.
The resurrected Phainon is more monster than man, with limited cognition, a beast-like appearance, and ugly patchwork skin.
But to Anaxa, Phainon will always be his precious student. He is determined to give Phainon a second chance at life no matter what it takes.

Alhaitham keeps falling asleep in Kaveh's bed. Normally, for someone as well adjusted as Kaveh, this wouldn't be a problem.

Summary
Anaxa does not let him finish. The gun in his hand is swiftly sheathed in its holster, and he replaces the weapon with his own claws, flashing them at the bunny before pressing them against his throat, where he feels his pulse begin to race wildly under his fingertips. At the sudden change in their positions, with Anaxa bent over his figure, the bunny swallows thickly.
“Leave,” Anaxa all but snarls at him, with his tail lashing angrily behind him. To his surprise, the bunny doesn’t flinch at all, and continues looking up at him with wide eyes, something like awe twinkling in those ocean blue irises.
The pitiful and naive bunny was lured and then devoured by the cunning fox, so they say. Or was it the other way around...?

Trong phần truyện này, sau khi giết vua Eurypon, Mydei trở thành vị vua mới của Kremnos. Để không bước vào vết xe đổ cũ của thành bang đã từng trên bờ vực sụp đổ, và để tìm cách đối mặt với Thuỷ triều đen đe doạ kéo tới, Mydeimos viết thư gửi tới các thành bang khác mong muốn thắt chặt lại quan hệ bang giao, củng cố phòng tuyến chống lại Thuỷ triều đen. Vì quá khứ không mấy tốt đẹp, không có nhiều thành bang đáp lại lời mời này. Điện Cây giác ngộ chấp nhận lời mời của Mydei, nhưng lại yêu cầu vị vương tử phải chấp nhận một người “phối ngẫu” mà họ chỉ định, mong muốn gài một quân bài chính trị vào Kremnos. Đó không ai khác là học giả đã bị tước bỏ danh phẩm vì đi theo con đường dị giáo, Anaxagoras.
Mydei biết rằng đây là một ý tồi; một học giả chân yếu tay mềm như Anaxa, một người lại có cái tôi quá cao ngạo, sẽ không thể tồn tại ở một nơi khác nghiệt như Castrum Kremnos. Ở thành bang này, chỉ có kẻ mạnh mới có quyền quyết định.
Cốt truyện chính là Mydei x Anaxa nhưng trong phần ngoại truyện có Phainon -> Anaxa
