Summary
Anis had assumed that students avoided Scribe Alhaitham due to his indifferent nature and intimidating presence.
As she stepped foot into the alcove, she realized that his demeanor was not the only thing keeping people away.
—
Anis doesn’t understand why Scribe Alhaitham flaunts his alpha pheromones for everyone to smell. Just why can’t the scribe wear scent blockers like everyone else?
…except he does wear scent blockers. And maybe, just maybe, that scent might not be his.

Summary
A migraine nestles in the left side of Alhaitham’s head. Unpleasant. He pushes himself away from his desk on his rolling chair and stares out the window to clear his mind.
He doesn’t expect to see someone staring back.
Alhaitham doesn’t startle. Just—freezes. Creep, he thinks.
Alhaitham is annoyed and overwhelmed from the construction and its loud noises on the roof above his office. However, he finds one light in the situation: a man who routinely appears outside his window, clad in a highlighter-colored vest and hard hat.

Summary
Mehrak may not be the smartest piece of machinery out there, but it is nothing if not devoted to its creator. Anything Kaveh asks of it, Mehrak will perform to the best of its capabilities.
One day, it finds itself presented with its greatest challenge yet: to make Kaveh “happy”.
In which Mehrak mistakes a throwaway comment from Kaveh as an order and does everything in its (regrettably limited) power to fulfill it. When it realizes that Kaveh’s happiness could lie with a certain roommate, it intends to throw everything it has into playing matchmaker.
(And if it learns a little bit more about itself along the way—well, all the better, right?)
