As the two get into a car and greet the driver as „Happy“, I realize it‘s probably high time I try to figure out what the actual fuck is happening, maybe start making a mental list of possibilities.
One: I somehow survived and am in some hospital where they hooked me up on the good shit. Meaning, this is all a trip, a dream or whatever else.
Two: My consciousness was somehow transported into the mcu and I‘m now living in the head of Tony Stark.
Three: My consciousness was somehow transported into RDJ‘s head and he and the other actors from Iron-man are currently role playing.
Four: I landed myself inside the Mugen Tsukuyomi and really don‘t want to know what the fact that this is what it looks like for me sais about me.
Ok, the last two aren't really serious, making these up is kinda fun.Or: My SI finds herself in the back of Tony Stark's head and decides that she is going to fix everything.

Summary
John Constantine beat the system of life and death until it fully refused to touch him anymore, and when it did, it never went well. It was a fact that the League had come to terms with, or those that knew, anyways. None of Constantine’s past could explain the kid in fuzzy pajamas that was curled up on a chair in the Justice League’s control room asking for the elusive brit.
Danny had barely made it to high school graduation only to be thrust into dealing with the millennia of bullshit waiting ever so patiently for the King of the Infinite Realms to look at. The fact that there was a weird amount of paperwork filed regarding some dude named John Constantine that looked like the weirdest form of tax fraud he’d ever seen was puzzling, and his parents committed that regularly. He has no idea what the hell he’s looking at.
Alternately: Danny is the inter-dimensional personification of the IRS for Death and the Unliving, and he just has a couple questions.

Captured by the GIW, Phantom was a mere shadow of the thing (no, person, he had to remember he was a person) that he used to be. He thought he would never be freed from the bright, white lab. Then what seemed like a mass of living shadow swept into the lab and Phantom suddenly, for the first time in a very long time, felt safe.
When Batman swept back out of the seemingly empty lab, he was none the wiser about the eldritch Phantom stowed away in his shadow. At least not until things started to seem just slightly off.
