Xie Lian laughs, and turns to kiss Hua Cheng’s jaw. “You’ll find out sooner rather than later. And that’s all I’m going to give you.”
Hua Cheng spends the rest of the day pretending to pout and sulk, lamenting about how his husband is keeping secrets and he can’t trust anyone anymore, until Xie Lian makes it up to him as they’re preparing for bed that night. The smugness radiates from him in waves as Xie Lian curls in close, still overheated and breathless, and earns him a gentle smack on his naked chest.

Xie Lian choked on air. No he did not hear of such a tale. He would've known.
