There’s relief, relief, relief, so heavy it drowns out anything else, makes Raphinha stumble a little as Fermín pulls him inside. It only strengthens when the lock clicks shut, and when Fermín falls into him against the door, burying his face in Raphinha’s neck.
“Fermín,” Raphinha murmurs, because it’s all he can think—Fermín. He wraps his arms around Fermín gently, breathing in the boy’s mussed hair. He’s a bit unsteady. That’s not too abnormal for a heat, even a suppressed one, but still, Raphinha catalogs it with some uncertainty.
