Strange, unusually clever hollows haunt a tiny island off the coast of the Izu Peninsula, terrorizing the resident lighthouse keeper and coast guard alike. Or so Captain Ukitake says when he dispatches Ichigo and Rukia to the island on a mission. Their orders: Pose as the new lighthouse keeper and island caretaker, and find and dispatch the hollows.
