Summary
“Is something about this funny to you, Nathan?” Harold snapped, his voice wobbling with a mix of anger and deep, desperate grief.
John knew Nathan Ingram was an old, dear friend. A partner, much more than John could’ve ever been to him. John knew Nathan’s death had changed Harold like Jessica’s had changed him. He just couldn’t believe it had changed him this much, he didn’t want to believe that Finch could unravel this much. It was dangerous, for all of them, for someone to have such a direct line to Harold like this.

Summary
Sid would leave him. Not yet, maybe, but Zhenya had gone into this clear-eyed. He wasn’t twenty years old anymore, buoyant with hope, blinded by his own naivety. For Sid—for any alpha, really—Zhenya was the interlude, not the finale. There would always be another Kathy waiting in the wings.
He wouldn’t try to change Sid’s mind, not this time. But maybe there was still a chance that he could change himself.

Summary
"Geno, we know you’ve said you want to play another year here, but would you come back and play another year in the NHL even if that wasn’t with the Penguins?"
Sid’s trying to keep his mind on the gaggle of reporters in front of him, half-listening to everyone around him, though he can’t help but glance towards Geno when he hears his friend get the question. (The same one Sid’s expecting to get any moment now.) It’s fine. They’ve been giving the same answers for years now, every time the trade deadline looms and management again drags their feet and forgets Geno’s a legend in his own right. It’s always been the same response: Only for Pittsburgh. Always with Sid. So Sid expects nothing different —
"Yes."

Summary
Sidney Crosby wants two things: to play hockey, and to hoist the Stanley Cup as many times as he can.
Evegni Malkin seems to want the same.
