…Although, perhaps it was a bit disingenuous to place the blame solely on them. It wasn’t as if Venti had discouraged the kidnapping. In fact, this was surely going to be the highlight of his week. He was already drafting an epic poem detailing the situation.

“Ah, Liu-shidi, if you don’t have any secrets then you should get some real quick!” Shang Qinghua says with bright, manic cheer, his smile and his eyes a little too wide. “The consequences for not meeting the curse’s requirements would be very very bad!”
