Summary
Patrick, starving artist, talented in music and acting. Theater Drama isn’t his first choice, but the Denham’s are the only ones willing to hire him, it seems.
Pete, the infamous poet, working on a play for the locals, struggling to figure out just how he wants his long-awaited work to finish. Pete is stressed, having nothing but deadlines with a grumpy assistant, Andy, who keeps him in check and assures he gets his shit done.
Joe is a well-known film director in Chicago. Built up his fame filming multiple locations people wouldn’t ever dare to go. There are dark rumors about the location he wants to film in next. This time, though, Joe wants to change things up and expose The Killjoys; a cult that’s never been brought to light, only spoken about. They’re a myth, according to the rest of the world, but Joe has a feeling that they exist somewhere far in the Middle East. Or maybe an island nearby that isn’t exactly on the map.
And Joe isn’t the best at telling his friends nor his newly hired crew the truth.

Patrick is one of the top dentists in the area, kind and warm and has his own practice in an expensive building North of Chicago. Joe, sweet loving Joe, is his personal assistant and has been since Patrick bought his office - best friends since they were fourteen, living the dream. Andy is the office manager who is way too cool to be doing this but enjoys it nonetheless and is always looking after his friends as if they were genuine blood brothers. And Pete is your stereotypical rockstar with a background he doesn't dare bring to light, who was arrested for drunk driving and is on probation. An unfortunate imbecile hired by Joe, a good friend of many years, to help him get out of his troubles. Besides, working for a doctor will do him good.
Pete has already met Patrick, though. And Pete is an asshole.
Pete is an asshole, and he doesn’t realize that two can play that game until he’s face to face with his new boss.

Summary
