Summary
Soap and his new wife have built a life in the newly settled American west on a modest homestead far from anyone else. I am so confused. Why doesn't this have thousands of kudos?? This is such a great AU and it kept me hooked throughout the whole ordeal.

Summary
Xavier is trying to go up the corporate ladder. That means long meetings, projects with approaching deadlines, and a lot of overtime. He isn't certain if he's more stressed, exhausted, or tired of the monotony of it all. And on top of that, he's not getting any.
Then one day, he finds a suspicious e-mail in his work inbox. Attached, is a picture of an ass sticking out of a wall, and a set of coordinates.
Could it be real?

The concept of a rich manor with dark secrets isn't new but oh boy if it's ever done well. Unfortunately.
But fortunately this one is, in fact, done well.
I loved the implications and the glimpses of the side stories we got from the people who were in Elisabeta's mansion before Jaskier, and those were just great.
I can almost picture the intricate rooms, the impossible works of art being, in a sense, held captive by a madwoman with too much power.
It's just such a wonderful idea that was explored just enough here to keep me interested but that also kept me wondering about the previous victims, previous terrors that went on inside those walls.
I appreciated the happy ending and I loved how peaceful the resolution was. However, I think the glimpses of the horrors of the Salzbach's mansion and Elisabeta's madness were the best part.
I wish there was a Wikipedia page describing every single room of that mansion and what it contained.
Really recommend to read this! A very unique and intriguing piece. -
