Elle takes a moment to realize she’s fully staring and reverts her gaze back to her laptop screen, blushing furiously. She goes back to her email inbox and stares blankly at her cursor for several minutes before she’s realizing there’s a shadow cast over her.
She looks up only to make direct eye contact with the barista, who’s looking at her with, if she didn’t know better, a devious twinkle in her green eyes.
