James looked like a deer caught in headlights, fiddling with the empty beer bottle in his hands. Dennis motioned for him to move, and James complied immediately, like a dog responding to a command. With James out of the way, Dennis opened the fridge and grabbed two beers, handing one to James. "Yeah. I mean- sorta, I guess." James finally managed, his voice barely audible.
Dennis leaned against the counter again, closing the distance between them. James looked like a colt trying to find its footing, all awkward angles and nervous energy.

He twisted the cap off his beer. James looked down at his own bottle as if just remembering it was there, then fumbled with the cap until it popped open."Um, yes," James admitted, still not meeting Dennis's eyes.
Dennis smirked, taking a long swig from his beer, then another. James took a tentative sip, and Dennis laughed softly. The sound made James finally look up. Dennis fixed him with those eyes, the ones he knew made people crazy. "Do you wanna fuck me?" he asked abruptly.

“Is that so?” Parker breathed, the question hanging heavy. Mel could picture her so clearly: a single eyebrow raised in a mix of challenge and invitation, eyeing her down with her mouth agape, making Mel swallow hard.
“Yes,” Mel whispered back, eyes fluttering and all.

Because there was definitely no way that Samira Mohan just said that she would be Trinity’s date to her high school best friend’s wedding. It’s a bad idea for a million different reasons, but first and foremost, “I don’t think you understand. I made it sound like I was dating someone. They think I’m going to be bringing my girlfriend.”
“Okay,” Samira replies without taking even a second to consider it, which makes Trinity feel more than a little dizzy. Maybe she needs to sit down. “What’s the problem? You don’t think I can pull it off? Am I not your type?”
A strangled sounding laugh bubbles past Trinity’s lips before she can stop it, her gaze dropping down the length of Samira’s body and back up again. “That’s absolutely not the problem here.”
