Summary
Harry Potter was always by himself.
This was a fact he believed would not change. The Dursleys wouldn't let that happen.
Harry soon learns the world is bigger than he thought, and that what the Dursleys say is seldom true, when he learns he has magic.
Magic and Hogwarts gives him a lot of things. He faces terrible things, monsters and the evil in the hearts of men. Harry finds, surprisingly, he has also found friends to stay with him and see it all through.- Words:

Summary
Hobbits had many secrets, perhaps as many as the dwarfs. But no one knew about hobbit secrets, so no one went looking for them. When Dwalin had told Bilbo of the deepest secret of dwarrow children, Bilbo had kept the deepest secret of hobbit children behind his teeth.
Note: This story is a series of vignettes and ideas. I'll probably never finish them all, but the last chapter includes a summary of what all I might have thrown in.

Summary
Hobbits have the most unusual ability- when they cry, their single tear crystallizes into a colored gem... Bilbo Baggins hasn't felt emotion since the death of his parents decades ago, but being dragged on the quest and thrust into close contact with thirteen dwarves has awakened his emotions with a vengeance. Can he keep a hobbit's most guarded secret from the outsiders he's befriending, and what in the world does he do about the one he may be falling in love with? He really isn't equipped to handle this anymore! Slow build Thorin/Bilbo.

Summary
In the Shire there were two truths. The Tooks were odd and the Baggins were respectable. The Baggins family dealt in contracts and favours, and while the Shire knew that the Tooks were odd, it was the Baggins family that had other blood running through their veins.
Bilbo Baggins did not go running out his door for want of an adventure, he went running out his door because of a terribly worded contract and a laughable quest that somehow held the spark of other.
In this story, it is not the Tooks that held fae blood in their family tree, it is the Baggins, and theirs is so much closer to the surface.- Language:

Summary
Bilbo is left to tend Thorin as he hovers on the brink of death after the Battle of the Five Armies. Is love enough to save Erebor's king, or is this the last farewell?
"It reminded him of plucking daisy petals to the litany of loves-me, loves-me-not. Yet nothing so simple as love lay on his mind. He barely dared to think it, but his question was not a matter of the heart. It was more basic, more instinctive, and he couldn’t help but feel that with each strand of hair he tended he was divining Thorin’s destiny."
