“Just say it, whatever it is,” Ino says, inspecting the nail of her ring finger. “Your face is all pinched.”
He wets his lips. “What if we did get married?”

Every bit of mermaid on land as she is in the sea. Something about her feels half-tender and half-wild.

“You are going to burn,” Gaara says, which, admittedly, can only ever sound like a threat coming from him looking the way he does, looming over her like the Witch-Finder General scenting an unholy girl boss in his immediate vicinity.
Ino dips her giant Fendi sunglasses to peek at him with her impossibly blue eyes. “It’s called sunscreen. Do you think I seriously don’t know how to tan safely? Look at me.”
The way she says look at me with such confidence and her tits out and proud makes him think that yes, she ought to be an expert. So, that one’s on him.

Or, Gaara and Ino are stranded on a deserted island when their yacht capsizes somewhere in the Caribbean. What follows is a tale of high tension, incredible stupidity, and surprising romance. That is, if they can manage not to kill each other first.

Shikamaru opens the door in a pair of low-slung sweatpants and a loose, faded t-shirt and Ino thinks that her life is turning into one big joke. And a rather distasteful one at that, if she’s allowed any input. Shikamaru’s standing there, one arm braced on the doorjamb above his head, leaning against the frame of the house so that she can see a slash of toned, tanned stomach from where his shirt’s riding up, and Ino thinks she might strangle something. Maybe whatever god’s decided to turn her life into their personal sitcom. Maybe Shikamaru.
_____________'Casual' and 'uncomplicated' sounded good to Ino when Shikamaru suggested it. And, if she's honest, her feelings are still relatively uncomplicated - just in a different way then Shikamaru meant, and decidedly opposite of 'casual'.

Caleb is not a particularly large fan of Zadash. The reason he would give if asked is that there are too many people, always jostling one another, making it easy for people to slip away. The truth is that something about the city makes the back of his neck prickle. Sometimes he will see a sign for a shop or for a pub and for a moment, there is a sick feeling in his stomach. But there is no reason for this weakness, especially since he cannot ever recall being here since Master Ikathon has sent him.
His mission is fairly drivel: extinguish the embers of a rebellion brewing beneath the streets.
