    Theo hands Buck three dandelions.

"Oh, thank you Theo. I love them."

Theo shakes his head. "They're not for you. They're for you to give to Eddie." He points at Eddie, standing frozen with two stacks of toilet paper in his arms. "Eddie likes flowers."

"He does?" Buck asks, looking at Eddie curiously.

Eddie looks away, cheeks colouring. The two pendants under his shirt burn against his skin.

Theo nods enthusiastically. "He likes flowers and he likes you, so you should give him flowers Buck."

"Yeah Buck," Chris singsongs. "You should give him ~flowers~."

    or

Buck adopts Theo. Eddie's Saint Christopher pendant suddenly has a companion.

    Summary

Something changed for him in New Mexico. On his knees in the dirt, cradling Buck's head, Buck's dirty hair against his palm and his pulse thudding against Eddie's fingers, which he couldn't pull away even though Buck was awake, smiling dazedly under the blood and the bruises. Something changed then. Cracked open. He could patch it up, probably. He's good at that. He's done it before, plenty of times.

Under his hands, Buck breathes, warm and alive.

    "Hey," Buck says.

Eddie doesn’t move, eyes focused eerily on the ceiling.

"Ambulance is coming. Should be quick."

"Great," Eddie says, and his voice is flat and far away and scraped raw and he still isn’t looking at Buck, he is looking at the ceiling, he has committed to the ceiling, he and the ceiling are in a relationship now and Buck is the other woman.

    "I'm really sorry."

    "It's fine."

"It's—" Buck looks at Eddie's dick. He looks away from Eddie's dick. He looks at the wall again. "Eddie, it's purple."

    "I know it's purple."

"I just want to make sure you know it's purple."

"I can feel that it's purple, Buck."

Right. Okay. That — that makes sense. Considering the purple dick is attached to Eddie, currently. He would know better than anyone.

Buck is going to stop talking now.

    Or,
A pet psychologist and a bartender walk into a bar...

    Summary

It's the control of his movement, the way his muscles move, how his hips roll, and his perfect posture. How he makes those quick steps and snaps of his hips look so easy, simple. And then he twirls around, the woman in his arms turning, so her back is to him, a strong forearm curled around her stomach, and Buck knows that tattoo—

    "Eddie?!"

His brain short-circuits, and there are no more thoughts.

Because Eddie is here. And Eddie is dancing with a beautiful woman.

    And Eddie is… perfect.

Buck goes on a date at a salsa club, only to discover Eddie there, using his ballroom-dancing skills for stress relief. Needless to say, seeing Eddie dance fries Buck's brain.

    Summary

Eddie climbs onto the bed. They sit side by side, legs extended, two letter L’s protruding off the page. Instead of pressing play like Eddie is expecting, Buck laughs.

“What?” Eddie asks, an instinctive smile caressing his lips.

Buck grips his jaw, thumb brushing over his teeth before he bites at the broad nail, stifling. “Just—did you ever see Charlie and the Chocolate Factory?”

    Eddie nods. “Gene Wilder.”

“That’s the one,” Buck chuckles around his thumb, then lets it slide free. “You know the grandparents?”

Then Eddie’s laughing too. “Jesus,” he says on an exhale.

“I’m just saying,” says Buck, still giggling. “I’ve seen our future, and it’s bright.”

Or: God created the world in seven days. It only takes Eddie six to surreptitiously move into Buck’s house.
