Hendery bites on the inside of his cheek, feigning indifference. His hands are shaking, and he shoves them into the pockets of his sweater to hide them.
Yangyang’s giggles drift off to an awkward, embarrassed little squeak. “Yeah, I’m done laughing now.”
“I wasn’t joking,” Hendery says.
