Shawn and Lassiter are shocked when versions of themselves from a parallel universe come through the mirrors and are stuck in their world until they can figure out who or what caused the phenomenon and how to reverse it. More shocking still is that their alternate selves are in a serious relationship—something Shawn has wanted for a long time, but something that seriously baffles Lassiter. Unsure that they will ever get home, the alternate Shawn and Lassiter jump into the investigation, aided somewhat awkwardly by the original Shawn and Lassiter, who may just find something growing between them with the help of their other selves.
