Summary
“I— I should get out of your hair,” he says.
Eddie turns to look at him, the movement sharp. There’s a look on his face that looks like he thinks Buck might have lost his entire mind.
“Did you hit your head on something?” he asks drily, like he knows that Buck didn’t. Buck hesitates anyway.
“Uh,” he says ineloquently. “I don’t think so.”
“Then why are you saying things that don’t make any sense?”
in other words, the diaz boys take buck home with them after the tsunami.

Summary
“Eddie,” Buck says, feeling on the verge of hysteria. “It’s kind of a personal thing.”
“Well— yeah,” Eddie says. “If you’re doing it for sex. But that’s not what you’re doing. Right?”
Buck thinks about that for a moment. “I- I guess not?”
“Okay,” Eddie says, nodding. “So— it’s not any different than anything else we do to help each other then, right?”
“I—” Buck tilts his head. “I don’t know. Isn’t it?”
— in which buck and eddie slowly come to the conclusion that getting each other off for pain relief is just one of the many totally normal, platonic things they do together.

Summary
Bobby's death sends Buck into a flare-up from hell. That doesn't make it any easier to let anyone in. Now, he's spiraling physically and mentally, and his family is starting to worry about losing him too.
.
Eddie is watching Buck fall apart at the seams, guilt bubbling underneath his skin. He has a feeling this goes back farther than the funeral, farther than the lab, all the way to the day he shoved most of his belongings in a U-haul and drove to El Paso.
.
Buried in their grief, Buck and Eddie may be sharing a home, but there's still eight hundred miles of unshed emotion between them. And both of them are suffering because of it.
