Summary
This was a bad idea. Wanting this. Wanting him. “I’m gonna…” Mike gestured vaguely. “Get some water.”
“Mike,” Will called, gentle, like always. Mike almost hated him for being so kind. “You okay?”
“Yeah,” he lied. “I’m fine.”Basically, whoever has been drawing on the chemistry lab table the period before Mike sits there is an incredible artist, and he’s becoming rapidly obsessed with the one-line conversations they have through notes scribbled on said table. Additionally, Mike may be falling in love with his best friend, but he’s going to ignore that, like he usually does with all his problems.

Summary
Mike's arms ached from driving so long, and his head hurt from the radio that he chose to blast as he careened across the country in his little rented movers’ van, and all he wanted, really, was a drink.
Mike meets a stranger in a bar, and he thinks something is familiar about him. Maybe he's just desperate for friends, but something about the guy (who's very pretty and oozes confidence) reminds him of a friend he had years ago.

Summary
Oftentimes, that was how it was. Receive a letter, give advice, get an update and thank-you. He had a feeling that wouldn’t be the case with Lovesick Lunatic. Somehow, their story stuck with him. After his relationship with Ginny had crashed and burned, and he had to witness his best friends get together, he found a little special interest in it. The letter was something he could appreciate, something sweet and not attached to anyone he knew. He reveled in that, the distance between Lovesick Lunatic and him. And Harry lived vicariously through each word on the browning parchment.
Or, Harry James Potter finally has a year to himself without someone trying to end his life. He decides to start an advice column. He did not, however, choose to fall in love.

Summary
Chat Noir had something going on in his mind, somehow now more than ever. She could hear the gears churning, and he’d been distracted on patrol every day this week. “Did he find out who you were? Before…you know. You’ve been kind of out of it, m’lady.”
She frowned. Some nights she couldn’t sleep, thinking of the way he’d dragged her out of the cabinet by her sole ankle. She felt the imprint of his palm burned into her skin. She was haunted by the sight of his fingers crumbling in front of her eyes, by the bright flash of light that had changed their lives.
“You okay?”
Ladybug hummed. She fidgeted nervously, pulling at the fabric covering her fingers as if it was going to come off. “Just thinking."in which ladybug can't bear to keep a secret.

Summary
“Are you going to listen to me now, dear?” Alhaitham positively beamed, dimples creating deep cavities right where Kaveh wanted to bury his fingers.
“Yeah,” he conceded. “I could use some—wait. Alhaitham. Get back here, you motherfucker, did you just—”
Alhaitham hummed, threw Kaveh’s own neatly-folded blanket at him, turned on his heels, and left.AKA, five times Alhaitham calls Kaveh a pet name, and one time Kaveh returns the favor.

Summary
“Hey,” he said, sparing a little wave with his left hand. He tried not to think of the fabric covering his soulmark.
Teal eyes scanned over Kaveh and settled on his wrist. Kaveh dropped his arm immediately, awkwardly turning away.
“It’s nice to see someone else who doesn’t care about soulmates. The gods are stupid,” the boy said. While Kaveh didn’t dare vocalize his hatred for the gods, it was indeed there. They had taken his father too soon and ruined his mother beyond repair.
The boy raised his own left wrist, similarly covered by fabric. He then held the same hand out for Kaveh to shake it.
“Nice to meet you,” Kaveh found himself saying, staring in astonishment. “There isn’t many people like us.”
“Dare I say we’re just smarter than the rest?”
With that, Kaveh knew he’d found an ally and maybe, just maybe, a friend.
Or: Kaveh and Alhaitham both hate the idea of soulmates. They always have, always will. And yet the more time they spend together, they wish that the other is theirs.
