never in all my years have i read a fic like this. the writing is immaculate, the way murdoc is portrayed gives you a sense of empathy and almost gutwrenching at times. you already know he was losing his mind on plastic beach but very few fics i’ve read have actually played with How Bad he was losing it. the psychosis, the abuse of drugs and especially his abuse of alcohol, the suicidal thoughts and tendencies. that’s always how i saw murdoc, i knew he was begging cyborg to kill him because at some point he got fed up. he got tired of it all, he didn’t want to exist anymore, and it’s beautifully written here. i never leave long notes in my bookmarks; normally just make a little lol moment and call it a day! but this is the first fic that deserves something, a true summarization or almost a love letter to how i felt about this one. i love murdoc and i love when people explore that darker side of him. this will probably be my favorite if not my forever favorite plastic beach fic i’ve ever read.
