“Lucy,” he greeted as he opened the door with a smirk as he crossed his arms. He looked smug - like he was expecting to see her.
“Tim.” She replied, matching his tone, with a smirk of her own.
“What are we celebrating today? National Grilled Cheese Day?” he teased.
“Actually, that’s not until tomorrow.” She took a step towards him. “But, tonight I was hoping that maybe we can celebrate the fact I have forgiven you.”

She glanced at the boxes again and felt a flutter in her chest at the way it practically made her giddy to have her items in Tim’s house, symbolizing the way his house was officially becoming their house.
“You know,” she began with a yawn. “There’s so much I want to do tonight, but I’m so exhausted."
He hummed in agreement. “Sleep,” he said gently. “We have all the time in the world for what comes next.”
“Yeah,” she agreed sleepily, dropping her feet to the floor so she could lean in to rest her head on his chest. “We don’t have a deadline anymore.”

Summary
She was just about to start a pot of tea when a knock on her door caught her attention. She paused, standing perfectly still, hoping whoever it was would go away. The visitor knocked again, three distinct, firm knocks, that Lucy instantly recognized. They were cop knocks…Tim’s cop knocks to be exact.
She quickly abandoned the tea kettle and went to open the door, smiling softly when she saw Kojo sitting at the doorstep with an envelope in his mouth. The moment was eerily similar to the last time Kojo showed up on her birthday, but this time, something had shifted and she felt much more hopeful about the path she and Tim were on.
