    Summary

Prince Wilhelm was prepared to be alone amongst his peers at Hillerska Skolan, a Deaf student attending the same prestigious secondary school founded to educate the Royal Family and other elites. He did not expect to meet a boy who spoke, and sang, to him.

Simon Eriksson recognized himself in Prince Wilhelm before they were introduced. The other boy knew what it was like to perpetually pretend to be a pleasant and grateful, while everyone around him discussed the reasons why he deserved to be disliked and mistreated. Wilhelm couldn't hear him sing, but he felt Simon's music more than anyone else.

Sara Eriksson was born in the wrong body. She never felt like a girl but she wasn't a boy. Torn between the two sides of herself, and two lovers, there was no future in which she could have everything she wanted.

*Set in 1918 at Hillerska Skolan
*This story will contain explicit sexual content involving multiple queer pairings. NSFW

    Bookmarker's Notes

Found this while scrolling through alternatehistory.com at 3am in a bout of self-imposed insomnia. Unapologetically batshit insane and utterly hilarious. Pure crack cocaine on a bed of soggy soy sausages and crispy fried onions, flambéed with 1848 Imperial Tokay, served on a golden reproduction of R. Mutt's 1917 masterpiece.

I rate it 3 rubber ducks, cause that's how many times The Internationale mentions acts of eating (too few times.)

Zuko starts a civil war without noticing. Azula is a murderer with a heart that can pass for fool's gold, and it's beautiful. It only gets better from there.
