By the time Shane washes his face, brushes his teeth and packs, there's no time to change. So he's stuck wearing the sweatshirt to the airport while mentally being grateful that it's not a tight neon t-shirt that shows the two barbells poking through both his nipples.
Let this be a lesson. Never look at pictures of your situationship with his tongue down beautiful women's throats and go on a jealousy tirade to live a wild night in a city like Las Vegas.
Or, Shane gets accidental nipple piercings and Ilya misunderstands.

Summary
“Where's the remote?” Shane asks in a slightly raised voice so that Ilya can hear him from the kitchen.
Ilya walks over, leaning against the doorway to watch as Shane looks in between the coach cushions, “Pike must have it.”
“What?” Shane takes the moment to stop what he’s doing and look up, his eyebrows furrowing together in that way that Ilya finds adorable, “Why would Hayden have it?”
“Because some people never change,” Ilya answers easily.
“What? He hasn’t taken anything before, he-”
Ilya shakes his head, standing fully straight again and walking over to behind the couch, leaning slightly forward so that he can look into Shane’s eyes when he says, “That is not true. The puck. 2017. He took it mid-game- mid-play! An attempt to sabotage and-”
Shane does a mixture of scoffing and laughing, picking up a pillow and throwing it at him, it bounces off of him easily, “Oh my god, Ilya, that was twenty five years ago! Let it go.”

OR, during one fateful game in 2017, the puck randomly disappears from the ice, Shane and Ilya accuse each other until it's found in Hayden's pant leg. Ilya does not let this go.

Summary
The square in front of the rink was plastered with posters of the players, ticket prices, and the location of games. Nowhere was there a poster of the Montreal Mighties because the team Shane played for was, according to everyone in that building, not the main attraction.
After all, it didn't matter that in their last game Shane scored more goals in the first period than most do all game, or that he won every face off, or that he can out-skate anyone on any of the teams in his league. No, what mattered was that three months before his rookie year his traitorous body pushed itself into a heat and any chance he had of playing pro had vanished with it. No pro team wanted to sign him, even when he’d been in the running for first draft pick, and he’d taken up the only offer he did get from the Montreal Mighties because it was close to home and it allowed him to be close, if not a part of, the sport he’d dedicated his whole life to.
Then he gets the call from All-Stars. The catch? His captain is the obnoxiously perfect alpha Ilya Rozanov.

And for pulling it out of nowhere, Eddie has to give Richie props for immediately having an answer. “You’ll never be like her, Eds. And trust me dude, that’s a good thing.”
“I mean,” Eddie winces, wishing the words would come out that bit easier, and not try to catch in his throat. “If we ever have kids, what...what do you think I’ll be like?”
Richie doesn’t answer for a while. “I think you’ll be a great dad. You’ll look after them the way a parent should.”
