Summary
“Well, aren’t you eager?” Illuga teased, growing more comfortable in Flins’ arms.
“It is rather hard not to be, especially when it comes to you, Master Illuga,” Flins said with a bit of a sigh and more of a nuzzle against Illuga’s hair.
“Well, Sir Flins,” Illuga huffed an amused laugh, the nickname sounding foreign on his tongue after not being used for quite a while, “this Young Master would be most pleased if you showed the same excitement when it came to handing in your reports on time.”
The distance between them was so scarce that he could feel Flins tense behind him.

Summary
“Flins, be honest with me,” and maybe he was running on too little sleep, making his mouth a bit too loose, “is there a problem with it? Does it not get up?”
Flins froze.
“What?”
“Your–”
“Dear Master Illuga,” Flins sat by the edge of the bed. “There’s no need to continue that sequence of words,” he gently explained, ignoring the blush that rose to his pale cheeks.
It wasn’t often that he managed to fluster the ever so teasing Flins.
“We can find a way to work this out,” Illuga insisted, his hand finding Flins' to hold it in empathy.

Summary
Without any lack of hesitation, and acting as if he was willingly stepping into his own grave, Jisung pushed the bar entrance door open, making the bells attached to it chime and announce his presence in actual heaven, because the first thing he saw was an ethereal angel.
Not the biblical kind.
Or maybe he actually stepped into his grave, given the way love suddenly struck him, or how the most beautiful being was smiling at him, and welcoming Jisung.

Summary
"What if–" Jisung scoffed, the air puffing loudly through his nose.
"What?" he asked back, the anime posters witnessed the shattering of his utter boredom.
"You know," Jisung huffed, shifting to rest his head in his palms.
It was so warm.
"What if– we got married if we're still single when we get old?"
And the anime posters witnessed Minho's racing heart.

Summary
And as if the universe itself liked to answer his questions, the usual office buzz came to a halt and the director’s voice was loud and clear on the entire floor.
“Everyone, please welcome Zhongli into our team!” Childe’s heart was doing laps in his chest. “He’s the new manager of the design team!”
Childe’s direct superior– the same hot guy he laughed at and refused to help mere minutes prior.
He could only pray that this Zhongli guy wasn’t that petty.

Summary
Feng Xin blinks back a few more snowflakes, and squints. It’s hard to tell how much further they have to climb to reach the summit, or if the beast might ambush them somewhere along the slope instead, like a complete asshole. He’s never had to deal with one of them before, since they usually keep to themselves in their mountains in the southwest and northeast. There’s stories about people being able to reason with them, but there’s also stories about them ripping apart limbs and eating them in a frenzied hunger, so it probably isn’t worth hoping for a gentle conversation on top of the peak where the snow beast agrees to leave.
“You should pull your cloak a little tighter,” Feng Xin adds after a second, and reaches out a hand to adjust Mu Qing’s fur collar. “Don’t freeze to death before you can be useful.”
Mu Qing’s lips might look a little blue, but his cheeks and the tip of his nose are still red. “Shut up. Walk.”

Summary
Black hockey skates with white laces appear in front of him, and when Mu Qing looks up, he finds a gloved hand reaching towards him, offering to help him up.
Mu Qing takes the offered hand, struggling to sit up on bruised knees before he gingerly picks himself up and balances on the blades of his comparatively delicate figure skates.
“What,” he hisses as he reaches down to dust off the front of his leggings, “is your fucking problem? Did someone hit you in the head? Are you stupid?”
-
Mu Qing is training for a figure skating competition. Feng Xin is on the local hockey team, and keeps getting in his way.

Summary
“Like, you could’ve said that I’m–”
“So brave and strong for surviving? Oh, I was so, so worried. Good job for surviving so long without me,” Mu Qing says, rolling his eyes while drawling out the last sentence, words so saccharine they send chills creeping down his spine. “Good boy, Feng Xin.”
A strange, warm tingle spreads through Feng Xin's body, all the way to the tips of his fingers, as he feels his face flush.
The first realization that strikes his poor, poor heart: Mu Qing staring at him with his piercing, slightly mean gaze, saying nice things about him however sarcastic it may be, makes his heart burst and skin burn.

Summary
“It’s a lot to ask, but how do you feel about pretending to date Mu Qing for a weekend?”
Feng Xin forcibly refocuses his energy on a breathing exercise he was taught. It’s one for controlling emotions and anger; a slow count down from ten. He’s not going to throw the coffee cup at the window and ask Xie Lian what the hell he’s thinking while grabbing him by the shirt collar and shaking him like a playful dog with a chew toy, even if the question deserves that kind of response.
“There is no possible way,” he finally says through gritted teeth, “that I would voluntarily share a hotel room with Mu Qing and pretend to be in love with him in front of strangers.”
--
Xie Lian and Hua Cheng accidentally book two couples' vacations in Las Vegas. Rather than wasting the extra tickets, Xie Lian invites Feng Xin and Mu Qing to join them.
