-- Edward Teach has been working as a haunt actor for many seasons. This year he’s been hired by an attraction where actors are permitted to touch guests to give them an extra scare. His character is one he’s perfected over the years, the pirate Blackbeard. He’s gotten weary of being a haunt actor, so he hopes this new gig will bring some more oomph to his life.- Language:

Summary
When Stede finds out Ed has never sat for a portrait, he requests that Lucius see to the matter.
The only problem? Lucius has spent the past several weeks claiming he can only draw nude figures, so he doesn't have to sketch Stede at every given opportunity. It's a lie, but a useful one, especially when so many handsome pirates are now willing to pose naked for him.
Including, apparently, Blackbeard.
Or: Ed poses for a portrait in the nude, and Lucius has to watch Stede go through a life-altering internal crisis, witness a frankly upsetting level of sexual tension, and deal with the most fidgety portrait subject ever. At least he gets to ogle Blackbeard while he's at it. For the sake of art. Obviously.

Summary
The letters kept coming. Every two months, or three, Mary would hear a knock at her door and be greeted by a courier with another envelope. They were from Thomas Hobbes in Charles Town, or John Donne of Montserrat, or Christopher Marlowe from St. Augustine. All were written by Stede, and detailed everything from the adventures of his crew to the fascinating fauna they discovered along the way.
She would read the messages to Doug and her children before putting them in her drawer. Then she would forget about their existence until the next letter came. It was a pleasant cycle of remembrance that Mary hoped would continue for years to come. And as time passed, she found herself missing Stede and his merry band of fools. It always raised her spirits to read that they were still doing well.

But she had wondered for a while if, now that they had thrown off the shackles of their forced marriage, they could, possibly, be friends. And this would probably be her only chance to find out.
Besides, she was dying to meet this ‘Ed’ of his and see for herself what sort of person could fall in love with a man as odd as Stede Bonnet.

“Did I really?” Stede wails in horror.
“And the day before,” Lucius confirms. “Except then it was ‘dear heart.’ No, wait, it was ‘my love.’ ‘Dear heart’ was the day before that. Actually, I don’t think you’ve called him by just his name in like, a week.”
Or, Stede realizes he's maybe, possibly started calling Ed rather revealing things.

Heavy suspense filled the air and a thick silence rattled out through the staff room. Then like a frying pan to a mirror, laughter shattered the silence. Almost every demon in the room was doubled over laughing at what Furfur had suggested – it got to a point where if demons had to breathe, they would each be needing emergency oxygen masks.
