He rose, spear in hand, to stand between his fallen villagers and the strangers at the edge of the forest.
Their chief spoke words that Kalgara didn’t understand, but he did hear the title he gave himself, and Kalgara’s teeth bared in a bloody grin.
The Shandians knew Gods as a part of the natural world. Noland had always insisted that there were none. Kalgara had forgiven Noland his blasphemy, but he had never admitted to Noland how he knew for sure that his Gods existed, despite Noland’s denial.
He knew because Noland had come here, to him, and Kalgara couldn’t believe that was anything but the work of the Gods.
Just as he knew that this man was no God.

It’s a long winding spiral with triangles decorating its length and an empty dot in one of the ends. He spends many a moment in his youth tracing it with his chubby fingers, staring in contemplation at the black ink unique to him and him alone.
Well, not just him. His mother says there’s another person in the world with the very same mark as him. Still, as far as Noland knows, no one on his island has the same mark as him.

Mihawk inspects the coat in the mirror of the changing room, checking the way it fits his shoulders, and whether it looked better with the collar flipped up or down. Definitely up he decides.
He’s never this picky about his looks, but it is Zoro’s graduation and he’s proud of his son, regardless of whether or not he will be letting Zoro know. He’s in the middle of trying on the matching hat, purposefully one with a long feather to block the view of all those PTA moms who annoy him so much, when someone steps through the curtains into the changing room.
It’s a man with bright red nape length hair, a ruggedly handsome face, and probably the ugliest patterned pants he’s seen.

Mihawk is loath to admit it, but as he kneels on this execution platform with swords crossing his neck, beaten to hell and back with two thoroughly broken and useless arms that they've nevertheless cuffed (painfully) behind his back, Mihawk is going to have to say that, maybe, he bit off more than he could chew with this one.
"This is your last warning," Shanks calls out, expression thunderous. The three scars over his eye wrinkle at the edges closest to his mouth when he bares his teeth with anger. His hair and his cape whip up into the wind he creates with the haki he builds up, demonstrating just how much power he can wield without even breaking a sweat.
Gone is the affable Red-Haired Shanks.
Here stands an emperor.
"I am leaving with my husband, and if you would like to leave with your life, you will not bother us."

Shanks' first reaction to seeing his husband's breasts is to stop drinking. It must have been his hangover's fault if Mihawk was now a woman. It was a weird dream if not a nightmare. Except it wasn't the alcohol fault, because Imperio Ivankov had managed to dig his nails into Mihawk during the War at the Summit. Shanks' second reaction is obviously to find Ivankov and bring him to Mihawk's feet. However, the more Shanks thinks about it, the more he sees in this accident a chance to realize an old dream: that of having a child who would be half him, half Mihawk. He just has to hope that Mihawk accepts this crazy bet and that it works without a hitch...
