“Sorry, what?” Anakin had to sound genuine. He had to.
“In the medbay, I mean.” Obi-Wan sat his own spoon down, leaning his chin into his hand. Anakin felt an odd shiver run up his spine at the look. He had Obi-Wan’s face, and his voice, after all, and his body couldn’t seem to tell the difference between the new and the old, despite his brain throbbing with the heavy weight of it. “They say I’ve lost my memory, I was a bit out of it.”
“Oh- right, no, I…” Anakin suddenly felt like he couldn’t catch his breath. This was strange.
“Which is strange,” Obi-Wan continued, echoing his own thoughts, the tease in his tone barely there. It was more hushed now, like he was leaning in to tell a secret, or soothe a startled animal. When did everyone start treating him like that? “I kept thinking to myself, after that moment — I must have been a very lucky man in a past life to have such a pretty thing worrying over me.”

If one was a member of the only sapient species native to Stewjon, they most typically fell into one of three separate categories: those who could become pregnant, those who could impregnate, and those who could do neither but served as an important intermediary between the other two categories. Stewjoni pregnancies were delicate and difficult and unlike humans it was ill-advised to copulate during, but the males were insatiable.
