Summary
Hannibal wanted to cook again. He wanted to ply Will with more than hot drinks and canned vegetables and fish. He wanted to make fine dishes, kingly extravagances from Carême or Escoffier, and watch the involuntary pleasure in Will’s face and body as he ate. He wanted, too, to take Will’s hands between his, and sometimes he did, but it was not enough -- he wanted to be able to sate Will, to fill him a little too much, to match the way Hannibal felt when he looked at him.

The first time Galahad kills a man, it is at Bors' full-throated encouragement, roared over the din of the skirmish, and with Arthur's distant and nearly reluctant approval. Once the dust settles over the victors and the company starts making its way back to the fort with their wounded, though, it is Tristan who goes to him and uncurls Galahad's fingers from their tight grip on his bloodied sword.

Summary
As much as Will Graham is pale and retiring before others, or a mosaic before Jack Crawford, he is prismatic in Hannibal’s view. A seething garden to rival all the temptations set before Saint Anthony by the hosts of Hell. It smells of sweet decay; Will is sick with it. And it takes as little as the effortless slide of a fingernail below the surface of his tenuous calm to set the corruption blooming on his skin.
Mesmerizing. All the more so because Hannibal is intent on teaching Will to want it. Or, rather, showing him that he already does.
