She looked over across the street to Luke's house. She’d actually seen him multiple times ever since they’d met, they were neighbors after all. They’d talked, he’d asked about the bake sale - was disappointed there weren’t any cupcakes left, but the money was for a good cause so he’d conceded -, he seemed like a great guy.
Did Julie have a crush on him? Maybe, who was to say? Flynn. Flynn was to say and she kept saying ask the cute neighbor out. She could make cupcakes again, that would be an excuse to go say hi. Or she could go see where the guitar was coming from. She did have cinnamon rolls...

Julie Molina didn’t think that she’d have to go through one of life’s biggest milestones without her mom, but here she is, standing in front of the window wondering what it would be like to have her mom by her side. Little does Julie know, Rose has always had a plan for her daughter’s wedding day. It just might take a little bit of searching and time.
When Julie had gone to pull the wedding dress off the closet door, she hadn't originally noticed it. But as she went to take the garment off the hanger, her eyes zeroed-in on a cream coloured something. She felt her breath catch a little as she placed the dress back down onto the bed. Quickly reaching to flip it around, she had instantly recognized her mom’s writing scrawled across the little piece of paper and pulled off the key that was taped to the back. Grabbing the note, and ignoring the shouted questions from Flynn, she ran down the stairs to find someone, anyone, who could give her answers.

"Jules?! Jules! What is going on?!" Flynn's voice sounded tinny through the speaker of her phone. Julie ignored it. She needed to find cover and quickly! Hoping she wouldn't trip again, she glances around as fast as she can. There! A phone booth! Why there was a phone booth at a park in the year 2021, she wasn't going to question right now. With a boost of energy, she changes direction and runs towards the phone booth. The goose begins hissing again as Julie throws open the door, steps in and then turns around to slam it back into place. A discordant sound of guitar strings sounds out as her back runs into something, and that's when she realizes that this booth was already occupied by someone.
Or: I heard the words "Soulmate Goose of Enforcement" and couldn't be stopped.

Summary
After an alarming incident, Julie's dad (the King), assigned her and Carlos each a knight to keep them safe for the first time in their lives. Carlos is fine with it, but Julie is not exactly thrilled with having a strange brooding boy follow her everywhere- especially when she's still trying to find her place in the kingdom after the death of her mom. It's not easy to figure out who you are and pick up pieces of who you were when someone is breathing down your neck, and she makes sure Luke and her dad (the King) know how how she feels. Her dad (the King), won't budge and lets Luke keep his post despite all of Julie's efforts to get him sent away.
Although this creates a definitive tension between them, there is no denying that some people are just signs sent from those who have left us.Bookmarked by phantomxarmy

“And what’s your favorite?” Alex asked. His eyes were bouncing back and forth between her and Luke and he had this gleeful little smile on his face.
Julie forgot to be mad at him as she thought about her favorite Trevor Wilson song, a small smile on her face. Well, Luke’s song, she supposed. And now that she really thought about it, the title made so much more sense now.
“My Name is Luke,” she said. Distantly, she heard something small clatter to the ground and the unpleasant twang of guitar strings being hit too violently. But Julie was caught up in her memories of listening to that song—the way it made her feel, so accepted and understood; the melody that would get stuck in her head for days; singing it with her mom as loudly as she could.

When Alex and Reggie get home from their shifts at the coffee shop and the dog groomer, respectively, Luke forcibly sits them down on the couch and makes them watch some of Julie’s videos. They are suitably impressed, because they’re not idiots and know musical genius when they see it, and in the middle of Luke’s rant about how it’s insane she doesn’t have more subscribers, Reggie says,
“You should plug her channel. We have a bigger platform than she does, we could help her out.”
“Can we do that?” asks Luke. “We don’t know her. Isn’t that weird?”
“It’s the internet,” Reggie shrugs. “Everything is weird on the internet.”
Or, Luke accidentally becomes rather successful on YouTube, and attempts to use his limited fame to help a girl he's never actually met.
