“So you wanted to please your mother and therefore let your parents believe we are together and will celebrate Christmas with them?”
Sherlock turned his head to the side. The light falling in from the window accentuated his sharp cheekbones. “Yes”, he murmured.
“And you want to – what? Pretend we are a couple together?”
“That was the general idea, yes.”Mycroft wants to get his revenge for being forced to attend the opera with his parents and tells Mummy Holmes that his younger brother is in a relationship - and with John Watson, no less. Soon Sherlock and John find themselves spending Christmas at the Holmes' family home, pretending to be a besotted couple. Whilst trying not to let each other see how much they both wish pretend would turn into reality, they run into a number of (Christmas) challenges. But between herbal Christmas decorations, a meddling mother, a naughty corgi, and Mycroft having a crush (?!) ... what will it take for their dreams to finally come true?
