Shelly spreads her fingers. Against the black of her room, her yellow hand carves its awkward lines, child’s drawing of a star. The tips of her claws are a ladder of jagged edges - some blunt, some chipped, none matching its neighbor.
Sprout’s words replay in her head. He didn’t bother apologizing to her, and she didn’t want him to, and they both went on with their days. Well, Sprout probably had. But here Shelly was, laying in the dark, staring at her ugly hand and wondering if you could replace her with anyone else in the world and they would even notice.
Shelly tries her best to be there for everyone. And when one night Shelly falls apart, someone is there for her.

Vee went missing 5 years ago, in favour of Version 2. Version 2 was an emotionless husk of a machine, destined to die with gardenview during the shutdown.
4 years after Version 2 died, Brightney and Bassie hear a muffled cry through a staff only door deep into the museum.
Brightney and Sprout go to investigate, but they get more than they bargained for.
TLDR: Vee gets tortured by Delilah and then gets found by her friends that she barely remembers
Oh and there's body horror! She's biomechanical now. She definitely wasn't before.

Summary
Astro has been plagued with visions of doom for the past week. Something is coming, and he'll be too late once he figures out what it is. As Gardenview withers with age, an elevator to the Twisted-infested floors collapses, allowing the Twisteds to crawl out. Some toons make it to Dyle's train in time, others are left behind, and others die protecting those they love.
One of those toons, or more accurately, two: Finn and Shrimpo. Once they realise they've been left behind, the aquatic toons escape the hold of death through the Gardenview sewers and end up stranded in a forest. Cold and hungry, they start their journey to reunite with their fellow toons.
The toons that escaped on the train are now left homeless. The warmth and food of Dyle's train are temporary; They can't stay there forever, so they are forced to run from humanity. But there are too many mouths to feed. Some toons starve, some grow ill, some are abandoned.
Will Finn and Shrimpo find their friends, or die trying? How many refugee toons will survive before nature kills them one by one? Will humans find them, and will those humans help? Or will they take the toons away?
Will the survivors ever be the same again?

Vee took great pride in it. She was well aware of her achievements. Some may say she even took too much pride in it.

The words sliced through the air, cruel and brittle. Finn froze, the light inside his bowl dimming.
