Summary
He says it every day, out loud, through looks, over text. There’s never the expectation of a reply in kind, and Sydney never has to tell him how much she loves hearing it. Now though, she just hugs him, for a long time like always, combs through his hair again and tells him he can sleep on her if he wants, so he does.

“So I made this dish, right?” She blushed, “and it’s like - infused, if you get me.”
She thought she’d had his attention before, but somehow the intensity of his gaze deepened.
“I didn’t know you-” He trailed off, the sentence completing itself.
“Yeah, I don’t like, advertise it in the workplace - obviously” She nervously flipped a bunch of braids over her shoulder, “but like, yeah it’s a hobby I guess you could say.”

Summary
Carmen. The root of this inner turmoil. The foundation of her dilemma. It’s all his fault, really. The anxiety she’s been feeling all started a few days ago, and it had been trapped in her abdomen ever since.
After repressing how they felt about each other and having to skirt around their tight kitchen at the Bear, and finally having a moment to themselves that wasn’t interrupted, they were pretty rabid with the way they pounced on each other. However, there was something about Carmen that made her want to be more romantic and in tandem, more openly sensual. And, much like she did when they were both cooking in the kitchen, she wanted to try her damnedest to impress him.
Cue Sydney's Mission to Seduce Her Boyfriend Carmen into Oblivion via Sexting.
