Derek found his roommate on Craigslist. As grateful as he is that Stiles has thus far turned out to not be a murderer, he is pretty bizarre. He has no common sense, regularly forgets to put on deodorant, and has fallen asleep on the kitchen table more than a couple times. Of course, none of that really deterred Derek from becoming his friend with benefits.

Summary
What would be ideal, really, is a bait service for people fighting supernatural creatures. Some sort of temp agency, with people who are willing to risk life and limb to help the defenders of good and right. It would be a pretty sweet job, all things told. All the bait-person would have to do is look like a delicious source of life energy. The bad guy comes over, says hi, goes in for the drain, and then bam! Dead monster, wreaths of glory, and a paycheck. Also mortal terror, okay, Stiles understands that no one is a fan of that, but he's pretty sure people would get a kick out of being so useful in the war against the fucking night. Stiles would apply for that job. Hell, he’d take the job at hand, even if it meant dressing up like a girl.
Which-- actually. That's not the worst idea, is it?
Or: Stiles dates a sex demon. Derek doesn't approve. It all goes about as well as expected.

Summary
Growing more and more confident as he grew older, Stiles started the ridiculous pick-up lines and joke-flirting with Derek back when he was still in college. After college, it just got worse. Not that Derek minds. Sometimes Derek will play along, because Stiles is funny, and those bad pun innuendo pick-up lines are ridiculously hilarious, and he likes it when Stiles tosses his head back and laughs like that. He loves it when he’s able to catch Stiles off guard with his own brand of humor, loves the way his eyes light up as he smiles at Derek. Pretty much, he’s just kind of hopelessly gone on Stiles, but doesn’t fully realize it.
Then one day…he does.

Monday was the actual best. Stiles had a good hour before he would be officially working, his hands were warm despite the weather because he had them wrapped around two wonderful-smelling hot coffee beverages, and he was leaning on the paddock fence, watching Derek Hale catch his horse for him. Mondays were made out of rainbows and magic, and nobody would ever convince Stiles otherwise.
