Summary
Xie Lian stepped aside, turning to walk toward the pick-up area when he collided with a solid chest. His hands instinctively flew upward, his fingers catching against a well-tailored suit jacket as he stumbled backward.
Almost instinctively, two hands reached out, catching him firmly by the waist and steadying him.
Xie Lian could feel the subtle heat of the stranger’s hands through his clothing. It was only when he looked up, staring into a pair of stunning heterochromatic eyes that he realized how close they were.
OR: Xie Lian, a kindergarten teacher, never expected to cross paths with Hua Cheng, a mysterious and feared crime boss. What should have been a chance encounter soon becomes a series of suspicious meetings, leaving Xie Lian wondering whether their paths are crossing by coincidence.
Despite Hua Cheng’s effortless charm and obvious interest, there’s something strangely elusive about this man, as though he's keeping parts of his life hidden. The closer Xie Lian grows to him, the more he finds himself caught between the gentle man Hua Cheng shows him and the dangerous criminal everyone else fears.

Summary
The hands on his arms didn't feel like San and Jongho’s protective grip; they felt like the heavy, bruising hands of his father’s security detail holding him down while the cane came down.
No...please...no...
The scream remained entirely dead inside his throat, a suffocating knot of silence that choked off his oxygen. Seonghwa’s eyes rolled back slightly, his eyelids fluttering as a violent, catastrophic panic attack seized his central nervous system.
“He’s hyperventilating! San, he’s not breathing!”
