COMPLETEDI’ve binge-read this in two and a half days, and I could have read 300k words more of this, this was an absolute banger of a fic. I don’t want to part with them yet and I kinda want to reread it immediately but I’ll keep it as a treat for later.
The storytelling was incredible and the D/s relationship so incredibly believable, as well as Jimin’s trauma and how it was treated in the fic. And, ummm, the smut??? Good heavens?? So fucking hot.
I also weirdly feel like I’ve benefited from reading all of Jimin’s journey? Like, I want to do better!! Is that odd?
All that to say it’s an incredible fic!! -

Jihoon glanced over at him and shot him an unimpressed look. “I was under the impression we didn’t like your soulmates,” he deadpanned, glancing down at the cheerful writing on Jungkook’s hand again.
Jungkook sighed and leaned fully against the counter, “Me too.”

COMPLETEDI love the soulmates trope and this one was soooo good and so well written! I don’t think 25k words is short at all, but to have the story so well developped (and to feel everything the author makes us feel) in just 25k words well...!!! That’s just how good this is! COMPLETEDI can’t stress enough the number of times I’ve laughed out loud, this was honestly so funny (and sweet and tender and achingly good and well written). The sense of community they have is so realistic! I love with my whole heart all fanfics that touch to the queer community that way, and I don’t know when was the last time I’ve read one that does it as well as this one! Loved, loved it!

COMPLETEDSo lovely and funny that I nearly screamed a few times. I don’t have a lot to say but this is top-tier storytelling and just a very light reading. I love a human/several-millenial-old-creature-that-doesn’t-know-how-to-act-around-humans romance, so this was just the best. A story very dear to my heart!

Wildfire by oldmythos
UNCOMPLETED (last updated February 2023)Incomplete, but I promise the story could pretty much end where it’s left off without it feeling unsatisfying for the reader because there are only minors things left unresolved. I love the author’s writing and a few of their stories are some of my favs. A good hurt/comfort fic, with lots of love, a sweet coven, and a good “revenge” arc! And as always, I do love myself some world-building in the fics I read, so I loved the political aspect of this one! Everything ties nicely together, yummy plot.

COMPLETEDThe concept is brilliant and the execution is perfect. If you’re after a short story with quality angst (with a happy ending), then this is the one for you. All I have to say is: very good heartache, very yummy for the soul. I think I already reread this twice or thrice, and it just keeps getting better and better. I know I’m a crier but I cry every time.

Bones and Bloodlines by gohenna
Part 1 COMPLETED, Part 2 ONGOING (as for May 2026)Definitely one of the best fanfics I’ve ever read. Everything about it is perfect, especially the world-building. The author takes their time to establish the story and the characters, so you just grow really attached to them and their world. Honestly, every chapter is a treat to be savoured slowly, and the writing is so, so good. I’m also a sucker for all the tropes in this, so I’m pretty sure it doesn’t really help my enthousiam about this fic. If I could, I’d send the author flowers.
