He knew when Eddie was in middle school, friendless and angry and paranoid, when Wayne stumbled upon a stash of porno mags while he was looking for drugs.

Summary
It’s probably going to go down in history as the worst kiss Steve Harrington ever got, but Eddie doesn’t give a fuck. He isn’t going to get another chance so he’s working with what he’s got. It’s less of a kiss, and more of a slide of lips, wet with blood and tears but he feels Harrington’s grip tighten on the back of his shirt and he pulls back. He reaches up with the hand he can still feel and pushes back a strand of hair that had fallen in Steve’s face, smearing blood along his temple as he does.

It’s something Eddie would have said teasingly when they were teens. Steve would have smacked him on the shoulder, affectionately calling him an asshole before being pulled into an apologetic kiss. But they are not teenagers anymore and Eddie’s voice lacks any of the warmth that used to be reserved for Steve. Now, it’s just loaded with resentment, which, yeah, is a fair reaction.

Summary
Eddie Munson awoke in the Upside Down to find not only that he had been left behind, but that something was… very wrong with him. He scrambles to find the only familiarity he can in hopes it will lead him to someone who will know how to help. Or, at least, assure him that he’s really alive.
This fic starts right after the events with Vecna, beginning that night and continuing into the two day time skip. This is a mirrored fic with @outofmygourd 's fic "Make Me Feel Like I Am Breathing". This is Eddie's POV, they are writing Steve's POV. Steve Harrington came back to an empty house that night, as he was used to doing. But things were different now. Max Mayfield was in critical condition, and Eddie Munson was dead. At least, that's what he thought.
