Summary

Summary
It’s 1993, and after attempting to move on from the events of the upside down (and a certain Michael Wheeler) Will lives in New York City with his new mediocre boyfriend Carlton. However, when Will returns to Hawkins for Lucas and Max’s wedding, he finds it harder and harder to forget about Mike. Especially now that Mike is openly gay, with his heart still clearly beating for Will. The two rekindle their connection and realize they had something too good to leave behind at graduation.

Summary
Will Byers is a perfectionist colorguard captain. Mike Wheeler is an intense snare player who believes that guard “only waves flags” They used to be best friends, but now only speak to each other to rile one another up. However, the band director pairs Mike and Will together after they have an altercation after rehearsal. They’re forced to work together for a guard and percussion solo that will in the end, improve the shows dynamic.
Every rehearsal is intense, but eventually late practices and bruised egos lead them to believe they’re not so indifferent. Soon, bonds form and eventually something that goes beyond mutual respect arises.

“Are you gonna answer my question?” Mike hears himself ask. Weed also makes him bold, it seems.
Will smirks, “Why I don’t have a girlfriend?” He shrugs, “Just… not interested.”
“Girls aren’t or you’re not?”
Will just shrugs again, giving Mike a knowing look that lights a spark inside him, either of fear or of excitement, he can’t tell.
“Mysterious.” Mike says, causing Will to giggle.
orIt's the summer of 1989, and Mike is spending it at his family's vacation home in Northern Spain. He expects it to be a chill couple of weeks, where he can relax before he goes to college and his whole life changes. He definitely doesn't expect his whole life to change the second he lays eyes on the housekeeper's son, Will.
